  Cranberry Fluff Salad

  3 cups fresh or frozen cranberries, thawed and coarsely chopped
1 can(20 oz) unsweetended crushed pineapple, drained
2 cups miniature marshmallows
1  medium apple, chopped
2/3 cup sugar *
1/8 tsp salt
1 container Cool Whip
1/4 cup chopped walnuts **
 
 

In a large bowl, combine the cranberries, pineapple, marshmallows, apple, sugar and salt. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Just before serving, fold Cool Whip and walnuts into the cranberry mixture.

*A little less than 2/3 cup sugar can be used since Cool Whip was substituted for whipping cream. 

**Walnuts are optional.
