2 lbs. Round or Sirloin Steak
1 Stick Butter *
1/2 cup Chopped Onion
2 Green Peppers
1 lb. Canned Tomatoes **
1 Beef Bullion Cube
1 Tbls. Corn Starch
1/4 cup Water
1 tsp. Sugar
3 Tbls. Soy Sauce
A Sprinkle of Garlic Powder
Cut beef into 2 inch by 1/8 inch strips. Add beef to melted butter in a skillet. Sprinkle with garlic powder and cook until browned, stirring occasionally. Saute until tender. Remove meat from pan and set aside. Add onions and green peppers to the pan and saute for about 2 minutes. Return meat to skillet with tomatoes and bullion cube. Simmer about 5 minutes. Blend together corn starch, water, soy sauce, sugar, and salt. Stir into meat mixture and cook until thickened.
* Original recipe called for 1 stick of butter, 1/2 stick is fine.
**Orignal recipe called for 1Lb of canned tomatoes but we use a 28oz can of crushed instead (any type of tomatoes will work).
