  Lisa's Turkey Chili

  1 Tbls Vegetable Oil
1 Lb Ground Turkey
1 can (15oz) Kidney Beans (Light)
1 can (15oz) Kidney Beans (Dark)
1 can (15oz) Black Beans, drained
1/2 medium onion, chopped
2 Tbls Chili Powder
1 pinch Red Pepper Flakes
1 clove Garlic
1/2 Tbls Ground Cumin
1 pinch Ground Black Pepper
1 pinch Ground Allspice
 to taste salt
1 can Mexican Corn
1 can (4oz) Diced Green Chiles
1-2 Tbls Brown Sugar
1-2 dashes Cinnamon
  water
1 can (10oz) Tomato Sauce
2 cans (14oz Diced Tomatoes
 
 
  1. Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat. Place turkey, onions and garlic in the skillet, and cook until meat is done; drain.
  2. To a crockpot add all the ingredients except water (wait until the chili is almost finished cooking to add water).
  3. Cook on low for about 6-8 hours (you can cook it for hours less if needed).
  4. Finish by adding water to until it is at your desired thickness.

*Note: I cooked this on the stove top for about 2hours and finished it in the crockpot for another hour or two and it tasted great!
