  1 Cup Butter
2 Cups Packed brown sugar
2  eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 1//2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3 cups quick-cooking oatmeal
  Filling :
12  oz. pkg. semi-sweet choc. chips
1 15 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
2 Tbls. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup chopped nuts
2 tsp. vanilla
 
  <p>Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.&nbsp; Mix in eggs and vanilla.&nbsp; Sift together flour, soda and salt.&nbsp; Stir in oatmeal.&nbsp; Blend dry ingredients into creamed mixture and set aside.</p><p>Melt choco. chips, condensed milk, butter and salt on top of double boiler (or I use a heavy pan).&nbsp; When smooth add nuts and vanilla.&nbsp; </p><p>Pat 2/3 oatmeal mixture in bottom of 15 1/2 X 10 1/2 pan.&nbsp; cover with choc. mixture.&nbsp; Dot with remaining oatmeal mixture.&nbsp; Bake.</p><p>They freeze well.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p>
